Taurus missiles are not the only tool needed to stop Russia’s Putin, the President said.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the supply of the Taurus Long -range cruise missile with the German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz. This topic will not be public, the Ukrainian leader said in an interview with RTL, published on Thursday, May 29.

“There are some topics where we agree not to speak public. But I don’t want to lie. We discussed Taurus’s question during the Tete-a-Tte meeting between the Chancellor and I. We work in this direction, but I can’t say any details right now. I promised it to the Chancellor and I keep my word,” he said.

Zelensky noted that Taurus was not the only tool needed to stop Putin’s Russia.

“It’s not enough. We need Taurus, we need a patriotic. We need to do everything, we need to build more. We need political pressure. We need strong penalties. We need a unity of Europe and America. Without it, Russia could attack others.

Remember to say that Friedrich Mertz said it was possible to provide Taurus missiles to Ukraine. Their move to six months or a year will not bring benefits to Ukraine today. Therefore, Ukraine’s military support has now improved, the Chancellor said.

It was also known yesterday that Germany would fund the manufacture of long weapons in Ukraine. These weapon systems are quickly available to the armed forces of Ukraine – the first of them can be expanded within a few weeks.
