Russian army troops stationed in Ukraine are trying to adapt to the arrival of HIMARS on the battlefield.

“Until this morning, according to our discussions with the Ukrainians, this is not true. All HIMARS continue to be a thorn in Russia’s side,” a US Department of Defense official said at a traditional briefing on Friday.
He added that Russian forces in Ukraine are trying to adapt to the arrival of HIMARS on the battlefield. However, they get nothing.
“Ukrainians are highly concentrated in Russian command posts, in logistics facilities, including weapons depots, so the Russians are trying to mitigate the consequences by camouflage, movement, changing locations. I can’t say how effective it is, but it doesn’t seem like much,” the official said.
He added that Russia’s failure to destroy the HIMARS systems testifies to the “extraordinary capabilities of the Ukrainians and their tactical expertise.”
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reiterated that its Russian occupiers had “destroyed” American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in Ukraine.
The US National Security Council has announced that the White House will provide Ukraine with a new military assistance package, which will include a batch of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and ammunition for them.
