When the Ukrainian military came to Snake Island, freed from the invaders, they found a small black cat there.
A small black cat rescued from Snake Island has found its owners. On Friday, July 22, Aleksey Arestovich, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said about this in a conversation with a Russian lawyer, human rights activist Mark Feigin.
The cat’s new owner sent Aleksey Arestovich a photo of what the fluffy cat looks like today, having survived the Serpent’s work and constant shelling.
Arestovich called the cat “a rookie fighter.”

Obviously, the kitten was born on the island – before the occupation animals, dogs, cats and even sheep lived there. No one survived the war except the kitten.
Now the kitten lives in Kyiv. He earned the nickname Snake.
Recall that at the end of June, the Armed Forces of Ukraine forced the Russian invaders to leave Zmeiny Island with a series of powerful strikes, and on July 7, Ukrainian special forces cleared it.
After that, Russian aviation made several attempts to strike the island. The last attack took place on 14 July.
