This was announced on July 22 by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov.
I support Moldova’s desire to get rid of the occupying troops on its territory. And we, as a state and as a special service, will do everything to help the fraternal state get rid of infidels on our land,” he said on the air of the telethon.
The authorities of the unrecognized Transnistria today recalled their plans to secede from Moldova and join Russia.
The so-called foreign minister of the fake PMR, Vitaly Ignatiev, said that the external vector of Tiraspol remains unchanged. The “authority” of the unrecognized Transnistria intends to join the territory of Russia following a referendum on September 17, 2006.
After that, the Russian State Duma stated that the desire of the unrecognized Transnistria to become part of Russia should be taken seriously, and Chisinau called on Russia to “restore the process of withdrawing Russian troops and ammunition depots” from this territory.
Moldova did not allow Russian troops from Transnistria to enter. This was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova on July 21. Moldova did not allow the Russian military of the so-called operational group (OGRO) based in Transnistria to enter the country.
The commentary confirms that “officers of the so-called operational group of Russian troops were not allowed on the territory of Moldova, since this is an illegal formation on the territory of our country that violates the status of neutrality.”
In the summer of 2022, Russia several times noted a possible solution to military actions by Transnistria, since Moldova could withdraw from the 1992 treaty.
