Ukraine scientists are processing 2500 archival affairs from the historic archives and libraries of Lithuania, 600 archival pages in six languages from the Sweden State Archive, more than 2200 documents from Turkey and Bulgaria archives.
Foreign minister Andrei Sybiga has announced the completion of the first phase of the Foreign Ministry project “Residence of Pilipin Orlik. The rebuilding of Ukrainian history in the world archives”, in which Ukrainian historians found unique documents about the Filipino Hetman. According to Sybigi, the unique and previously unknown historical documents were found: the first dossier of the Philippines, Ukrainian letters Hetman and his family, as well as the Kings of Swedish. “A major important success is the oldest and most unknown Cossack document in the Ukrainian language of 1582,” the minister said.
He emphasized that these unique findings were the result of many activities by Ukrainian historians – Alexander Sereda, Oleg Radorozhenko, Marina Trottner, Natalia Drobyazko and Marina Kharmak.
