It is noted that yesterday, May 22, in the morning, the invaders stormed the positions of defense forces near the village of Podrodnna, the area of the Uvovsky district, where four Ukrainian military personnel performed combat missions.
During the offensive, representatives of the aggressor captured two unarmed defenders, and then shot them in the forest belt of machine guns. The fate of other defenders is currently unknown, the prosecutor’s office says.
The investigation was initiated in relation to a war crime that caused the death of people (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code).
The deliberate murder of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is considered a serious international crime, the prosecutor’s office said. – Currently, urgent investigative (investigative) actions are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the event and those who are involved in the commission of the aforementioned crime.
