Resolution No. 543 of May 9, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a new procedure that provides for the verification of religious organizations for the presence of ties with foreign structures whose activities are prohibited in Ukraine. This can be the legal basis for the ban on the activities of Ukrainian Orthodox church organizations if its connection with the Moscow Patriarchate is proved.
