Denmark announced the provision of a 26th package of military assistance to Ukraine. In particular, this provides for aviation support.
This is indicated in the message on the web session of the Denmark Government.
It was noted that the total cost of the package is about 562.8 million euros (4.2 billion Danish crowns) from 2025-2028. Financing is carried out in the Foundation of Ukraine, as well as at the expense of compensation income from the European Fund of the World (EPF).
Some of the funds will be aimed at the Czech initiative for joint purchases of ammunition, the other – to their direct transfer to Ukraine.
In addition, Denmark finances equipment for Ukrainian Air Force and expanding educational infrastructure.
The package is also designed to assist in the training and equipping Ukrainian brigades as part of the North Baltic initiative.
Unfortunately, Ukraine’s need for help and support has not decreased. I am happy and proud that we can again allocate funds for donations that will change the situation on the battlefield both in the short and long term. Denmark was an adamant supporter of Ukraine from the very beginning of the war. We will continue to do this in the coming years, ”says the Minister of Defense Troles Lund Polesen.
The report emphasizes that Ukraine’s need for large military support remains relevant against the backdrop of the ongoing Russian aggression and will maintain its value even after a possible ceasefire or a peace agreement.
