In the United States, a collegium of 11 judges of the Court of Appeal ruled that the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM) should distribute the media corporation Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty for April, approved by the US Congress. This is $ 12 million.
On March 14, Donald Trump signed a decree, reducing the work of seven state institutions, including USAGM, agencies responsible for a foreign language. He takes care of such media as the voice of America and Radio Liberty.
In March, USAGM – Radio Liberty – announced the freezing of about $ 75 million, already allocated to finance media corporation during the current financial year – by the end of September 2025.
But the US court is obliged to resume this financing. Later, the Federal Court of Appeal blocked the decision on the voice of America.
