The Ukrainian government has made a request from the United States regarding the purchase of equipment and services to support F-16 fighters.
The U.S. Department of State approved the potential sale of training and technical equipment for F-16 fighters together for $ 310 million. On Friday, May 2, Reuters wrote a reference to the Pentagon.
Among the major contractors are Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Bae Systems and AAR.
As explained to the US Department of Defense, the Ukraine government has asked to buy equipment and services to support Ukrainian F-16 aircraft.
It is assumed that this contract will include the change and modernization of the aircraft; Staff training related to operation, maintenance and support; spare parts; as well as supply and maintaining secret and unexpected software.
The Pentagon emphasized that this potential sale will maintain US foreign policy goals “by improving the security of the country’s partner, which is the force of driving political stability and economic development in Europe.”
Remember that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on the aircraft. The upcoming delivery of additional F-16 fighters was discussed.
