Pope Francis suffered a stroke, which led to a failure in coma and heart.
Pope Francis died of a stroke and irreversible heart failure. The official medical report on the cause of the Pontiff’s death was published by the Vatican Health and Hygiene Director, Professor Andrea Arkandel, Vatican News reported Monday, April 21.
The conclusion was confirmed using electrocardiographic tanatography (a special ECG entry made to prove that the heart really stopped completely and did not show any signs of life – ED).
After the stroke, a coma and an irreversible collapse of the cardiocirculatory followed (a state when the vessels of the heart and blood completely stopped working, and it was impossible to restore their work – ed.).
“Brain stroke, coma, irreversible cardiovascular collapse. These are the causes of Pope Francis’ death, which has arrived today, April 21, at 7.35 am at his home at Holy Martha’s home in the Vatican,” the conclusion said.
The medical document also states that Pope Francis suffered from the previous stage of chronic respiratory failure with bilateral multimicrobial pneumonia, many bronchiectasis, arterial hypertension and type II diabetes.
Remember, on April 21, the leader of the Catholic Church Pope Francis died at the age of 88. He has led the holy throne since 2013.
Pontiff will be the first father of more than a century to be buried outside the Vatican.
