Over the moon was 96 plastic bags with human waste – the result of missions from 1969 to 1972.

The American National Aeronautics and Space Research Directorate (NASA) has promised to pay nearly 3 million euros to those who have recorded how to dispose of human feces on the moon. It was written by Bild on Monday, April 21.

Over the moon, 96 plastic bags with human waste remain. Astronauts left them during missions from 1969 to 1972 to release space in the launched module for examples of lunar land.

Now NASA has announced a competition for the best solution to the problem with this unusual waste, as well as the future waste that will appear at the lunar stations.

A competition called the Lunarecycle Challenge (Lunar Waste Processing Competition) offers participants up to 2.7 million euros for the best ideas.

NASA wants to understand how to reduce the amount of waste, as well as safely store, process and use it again in space conditions. In particular, the lunarecycle challenges want to never restore the land waste to the ground or reduce them to a minimum.

Remember, on March 2, the Blue Ghost Apparatus of the American Developer Firefly Aerospace reached the moon. The module has helped NASA collect unique data in the heat stream from the inner layers of the moon.
