The Prime Minister of Israel said his country had no choice but to continue the struggle.
Military operation in the Gaza sector will continue until the main goal is achieved: the destruction of Hamas, the release of hostages and ensuring the country’s security. On Saturday, April 19, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reports the Associated Press.
In his statement, he emphasized that the government had no choice but to continue fighting the Hamas Group after he refused to release half of the hostages in exchange for a humanitarian Truce.
Netanyahu noted that Israel will not stop the operation until it performs three main tasks: it will destroy Hamas, release all hostages and ensure that the Gaza sector no longer threatens the country’s security. He also repeated his obligation to do everything possible so that Iran never received nuclear weapons.
The situation within Israel is becoming more intense, as families of Israeli hostages and military reservists are increasingly suspicious of the feasibility of the ongoing military operation. Many critics believe that the possibilities for the diplomatic disposal of the conflict disappeared after a Truce rest last month.
According to the Israeli military, more than 40 militants were killed over the weekend in gas. It was also reported on the death of an Israeli soldier on Saturday in the north of Gaza – this was the first death of an Israeli soldier from the moment of hostility on March 18.
Israel has announced its desire to strengthen blows throughout Gaza and create extensive “security zones” in the region, where more than two million people are currently living. Hamas, in turn, needed the complete removal of Israeli troops from the sector.
Earlier, the media reported that Israel had prepared a plan for Gaza’s work for months.
