State secretary Marco Rubio in Pyatitsa, April 18, during a briefing for the media said that Russia or Ukraine still has resources for the rapid end of the war, the service press of the State Department Report.
Rubio emphasized that the conflict in Ukraine could not be completed exclusively through a military form, as none of the parties had the necessary resources for it.
“It was a war with no military decision. No side to quickly complete it. It’s about preventing the death of thousands of people next year,” he said.
He noted that the United States was interested in attracting Europe to peaceful negotiations. In his opinion, Great Britain, France and Germany can contribute to the progress of the process and bring the parties closer to resolve the conflict.
“Their proposals seem to be useful and uplifting me. We value their contribution and participation, which we consider to be very important,” he emphasized.
Earlier, Rubio said US president Donald Trump could give up the desire to act as an intermediary between Russia and Ukraine if there were no clear signs of possibility of ending a peace agreement.
Subsequently, Trump himself confirmed that America would leave the process of negotiating in the Russian-Ukrainian War, if “one of the parties was all complicated.”
