Germany has yet to provide Ukraine more Patriot systems, however, along with allies, it is actively looking for air defense systems worldwide – due to the urgent need for KYIV to protection against Russian attacks. It was announced by German German minister Boris Pistorius during a meeting in Ramstein format, RBC-Ukraine reported Friday, April 11.
“The Minister of Umarov and President Zelensky told us that in the day they need a system (Patriot), but in the long run they need more,” Pistorius said.
According to him, Germany has already sent four -fledged patriot systems to Ukraine, but it cannot be given at the present time.
“Now we can no longer provide, because we expect the supply of systems,” he explained and added that Allies are now looking for air defense systems around the world.
Remember that the contact group in the defense of Ukraine in Ramstein’s format in the first time held a meeting under the chairman of Germany and Great Britain’s defending ministers. Participating countries have agreed to expanded KYIV assistance, especially in the field of electronic warfare.
