In Abu Dhabi (UAE) on Thursday there was an exchange of prisoners between Russia and the USA. Russia has given American authorities Ksenia Karelin (Havan), who was convicted under the article to the stateizer, and the United States in response was released by Arthur Petrov, accused of illegal export of microelectronics.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the exchange of prisoners took place as a sign of continuing to strengthen trust between Moscow and Washington and expand the contacts of special services of the two countries.

The CIA thanked the UAE authorities for the exchange. On behalf of Russian authorities, the FSB did so.
