Come on! To lovers of series in hospital environments, a new drama approaches the release to add to your list. ‘Resident Playbook’, a spin-off of the success ‘Playlist Hospital’, aired between 2020 and 2021, won a new trailer on Thursday, 10. The preview presents the viewers the protagonists and some details about their personalities.

Originally programmed to debut in 2024, production faced postponements due to a crisis in the South Korean health system. Strikes and mass layoffs of professionals in the field, in protest against changes in educational policies, interfered with the launch schedule.
In addition to the trailer, the platform revealed part of the series’ official soundtrack, the famous OSTs, popular in Korean productions, will feature known voices from K-Pop, including Lee Know, Sungmin and In From Stray Kids, An yujin From Ive, Doh Kyungsoo, Winter AESPA, DK From Seventeen, Minnie (g) I-DLE, Tomorrow x Together and two other artists not yet disclosed.

About ‘Resident Playbook’
The drama follows a group of first year residents of the Yulje Medical Center Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. Amid the chaos of the hospital and personal dilemmas, the characters seek to grow professionally and deal with the challenges of a sector that faces low demand, a direct reflection of the decreasing birth rates in South Korea.
Starring Go Youn Jung, Shin Si Ah, Han Ye Ji, Kang You Seok and Jung Joon Wonthe series is directed by Lee Min Soowith script Kim Song Hee and has Premiere scheduled for April 21 on Netflix.
