NATO countries are conducting a large -scale military exercise Ramstein flag 2025 off the coast of the North Sea. The Air Force of 18 Alliance countries, including Germany, USA, the Netherlands and other states, participates in maneuvers. The DPA reported this on Thursday, April 10.
Exercises began on March 31 near Leiwarden Air Base in the Netherlands.
About 100 aircraft are involved in the exercises, including the American F-35, F-18 Hornet, Eurofighter Typhoon, helicopter and drone. Germany sent eight eurofighter fighters from the 71st tactical plane to exercise.
The main purpose of the maneuvers is to evaluate the unity and resist the readiness of the forces of the alliance in the case of a large Russian attack. Within the framework of the exercises, the constipation of air attacks, the destruction of enemy air defense systems and the support of the land forces in the event of an emergency.
NATO Air Force Commander of the USA James Haker said such exercises should be a signal for Russia: “We hope they will be a warning for the enemy,” reports Der Spiegel.
