In the six weeks since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, police have received more than 1.15 million reports from citizens. This was announced by the head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.

“The investigation carefully collects the evidence base of war crimes of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine. And not only for the Ukrainian courts, but also for the International Court of Justice. Currently, more than 5,000 criminal trials have already been launched on the facts of crimes committed by Russian military personnel, ”Klymenko reports details.

At this stage, the police are investigating 123 criminal proceedings for cooperation activities, 594 people suspected of collaborating with the enemy were detained.

It was also reported that special attention was paid to the fight against theft.

“More than 1,600 property crimes have already been registered. No theft, burglary or theft is left without our attention. Individuals who decide to profit from other people’s property at such a difficult time will certainly be held accountable , “Klymenko assured.

In the Kiev region, inspection of vehicles was intensified and a week -long curfew was introduced. Such a long curfew was explained by the need to clean up the territories and prevent theft. Earlier in Bucha, National Guardsmen detained and handed over to police three robbers, who had a large amount of property in a hangar near the house, for which they could not explain the source.
