The cause of the fire has not been established. All passengers are recommended to refrain from traveling to the Khitrovo airport.
“For the safety of our passengers and colleagues, Khitrov Airport closed until 23:59 March 21,” the statement on the airport website said.
Khitrov airport is considered the largest international airport of Great Britain and Europe with the number of annual passengers – 75.7 million.
