Ukraine returned 175 Ukrainian military from captivity in exchange for 175 Muscovites.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy President announced this on March 19.
Another 22 defenders return home through exchanges. Among them, the warriors that Russia pursued for fictional crimes were seriously wounded. Everyone will immediately provide the necessary medical and psychological assistance.
This is one of the largest exchanges. Our soldiers, sergeants and officers are returning. Warriors who fought for our freedom in the ranks of the Armed Forces, the Military Fleet, the National Guard, the Territorial Defense and the Border Service. They defended Ukraine in different directions – in Mariupol, in Azovstal, in Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, as well as about Harkiva, the Mikolai region, Zaporotskie, Sumi and Kurshina, the president wrote in his social networks.
He expressed her special gratitude to the united Arab Emirates for the fact that today’s exchange became possible.
The exchange took place on the border with Belarus.
