If the new government in Serbia was not formed within 30 days, the parliamentary election would be held in the country.

Serbia’s Parliament confirmed the resignation of Prime Minister Milos Vuchevich, who filed a petition following the study protests caused by the roof collapse at the Novi Sada station. This is known by the N1 on Wednesday, March 19.

In confirmation of resignation, the government becomes technical, and the countdown begins 30 days of developing a new government. If during this time the new government was not selected, the country would hold the parliamentary election.

The Milos Vuchvich government was selected at a meeting on May 2, 2024.

Remember that Serbia president Aleksandar Vuchich said he is willing to hold an election in the next three to four months if the opposition requires it. So he commented on the mass protests that took place in the country.

The cause of the protests was the fall of the roof of the Novi -Sad train station in November 2024. The tragedy, as a result of which 15 people were killed, caused a wave of disappointment because of alleged corruption and neglect in President Vucic’s government.
