The Russians said the prisoner in November 2024 invaded the territory of the Kursk region, where he was confined.
The Court on Kursk punished a citizen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland James Scott Rice Anderson for 19 years in prison for “making a terrorist attack and Nymanism.” Astra reported this on the Telegram Channel on Wednesday, March 5.
The Russians said Anderson fought as a mercenary of the Ukrainian armed formation, and in November 2024 he attacked the territory of the Kursk region where he was confined. Russian investigation claims that Anderson is said to have “committed crimes against the civilian population,” but was not defined.
The second military court of the western district also punished four Ukraine prisoners of war – Ivan Furlet, Yuri Zadorozhny, Yuri Sychenko and Yuri Hayuk – by 17 years in prison.
According to Russian investigators, the Ukrainians also raided the Kursk region, where “they opened the fire to defeat Russian military and civilian personnel; forbid the latter to move, preventing their evacuation.”
As we have written, the Russian court has been unlawful condemning seven Prisoners in Ukrainian for participating in adventures in the Kursk region.
