Latvian -armed vehicles will come to Ukraine defenders this year. The number of ordered cars is not specified.
Latvia ordered the Patria 6×6 Armored Personnel Carriers for the needs of the Ukrainian Army. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Latvia on Monday, February 10.
“This year, Ukraine defenders will act on an armored Latvian production vehicle. Not only do we support Ukraine in the fight against invaders, but also experience the use and strength of armored vehicles with real Battle condition, which will bring important conclusions for the National Armed Forces, “said the Minister of Defense of the Latvia Andris Spruds.
The number of ordered cars is not specified. At the same time, BTR’s adherence to Ukraine should not affect the implementation of longer contracts for the Latvian army.
The department recalled returning in 2021, more than 200 patria 6×6 armored vehicles were ordered. And on the day of 2024, another 56 machines were added, but there was already a type of command and staff.
Earlier it was learned that Latvia would transfer Ukraine’s defense forces previously purchased from the UK KVR (T) intelligence armored vehicle.
In January, Ukrainian fighters received more than 40 -Wheel drive cars from Latvia along with a critical load: drones, computer equipment, generators and charging stations.
