A Bulgarian Air Force aircraft intercepted and landed an intruder who entered the airside without a flight plan and without a transponder code.
In Bulgaria, a fighter jet intercepted a small intruding passenger aircraft. On Thursday, July 14, European Truth reported in relation to Bulgaria’s Ministry of Defense.
It was noticed that the aircraft was spotted on July 13 at 17:42 by the ground-based air defense system near the town of Svishtov, at an altitude of 600 meters. He entered the airside without a flight plan and without a transponder code.
After that, the MiG-29 fighter was lifted from Graf Ignatievo airbase. The intruder was intercepted, and at 18:03 visual contact was re -established here at a height of 600 meters. The fighter crew identified it as a Cessna-150.
The aircraft was delivered to Bohot Airport, where it landed at 18:08. According to established procedure, after landing, the duty fighter blocked the airfield until the engine stopped and ground authorities intervened. The pilot of the small plane was identified on the ground.
The Cessna 150 is a two-seat, three-wheeled general aviation aircraft designed for flight training, travel and personal use.
It was previously reported that Germany had recruited fighters due to Russian reconnaissance aircraft.
It was also reported that the Russian An-40 propeller-driven aircraft had illegally violated Danish airspace. As a result, the Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador.
