The floods have killed more than 60 people in Afghanistan

The eastern provinces of the country suffered the most from the natural disaster. More than 12 thousand houses were damaged.

Afghanistan has experienced a series of floods in the past week. 63 people were killed and 81 others were injured. On Wednesday, July 13, Anadolu reported in relation to the spokesman for the Taliban’s interim government’s Disaster Management Ministry, Mohammed Naseem Haqqani.

According to him, the eastern provinces of the country suffered the most from natural disasters.

The provinces of Nuristan, Laghman, Logar, Paktia, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Zabul and Uruzgan suffered the most casualties, Haqqani said.

More than 12,000 houses were damaged, more than 2,000 animal heads were killed.

It will be recalled that on June 22, a strong earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred in Afghanistan. At least 1,000 people died then.
