Ukraina’s polar explorers from the Antarctic Station Station Vernadsky recorded a unique phenomenon – a family of subantarctic penguins, managed to feed the three chickens at the same time.
According to the National Antarctic Scientific Center, these birds usually lay two eggs, as feeding more children is very difficult. Sometimes masonry can contain many eggs, but the chances of surviving all chickens will remain minimal.
However, participants in the 29th Antarctic expedition discovered a rare family: adult penguins could come out at the same time three cubs. The chickens have been about three weeks, which significantly increases their chances of survival.
According to biologist Svitozar Davidenko, this family of Penguins is the only Halindez Island, where nearly two thousand chickens and four thousand old -fashioned Subanarctic Penguins live as a whole.
Scientists note that such observations are important for studying climate change. In particular, over the past 20 years, the transfer of subantarctic penguins has been one of the evidence of global warming in Antarctic.
