Novosakhtyn (NPP) oil refinery suspended the work after the drone attack, the Russians announced to the equipment.
On January 30, the Center for Corruption announced this.
Last year, this oil refinery processed, according to various estimates, of 3 million tons of oil. In this case, the plant can process 7.5 million tons, but it was full of attacks.
The equipment is now damaged there.
The history of the issue
Production at Russian oil refineries fell to a minimum of 12 years after the raids of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. This is reported by Reuters with reference to analysts.
Russian oil refineries can increase oil in 2025 by 1-5% or in the worst scenario stabilize this figure after a compulsory reduction in this year to 12 years of minimum due to unplanned repair and reduction of margin.
In general, according to the results of this year, oil processing at the oil refining plant of the Russian Federation, taking into account December dynamics, is expected in the amount of 266.9 million tons by 8.1 million tons lower than last year (- 3.2% in daily daily comparison).
This level is the smallest after 2012, when the oil refinery was processed 265.4 million tons of raw materials.
In the period 2012, Russian refinement collided even more significant decrease: 15.2 million tons (-5.6%) in Koronovirus 2020, when the oil refinery was processed 270.0 million tons of oil.
The reduction in oil processing on the RFP in 2024 was mainly provided by simple primary installations at the Tuapsyin oil refinery (-5.5 million tons, -59.6%), NPP “Lower Ancient Frontretregsintez” (-3.4 million. Tons, 21.8%) and novosakhtyn vnp (-1.5 million tons, -31.4%), according to sources.
Among the leaders of the fall, commodity fuel is released only by lower production, so a significant general decrease in the load of primary processes did not lead to a proportional decrease in fuel production.
In addition, in 2024, a number of large oil refineries that produce commodity autobensin and diesel (Omsky, Achinsky, Kuibyshevsky Refine, Gazpromnaftochim Salaavat), increased load compared to last year, compensating for the loss of plants.
Analysts interviewed by Reuters believe that the processing next year will begin from below by adjusting the supply of equipment necessary for the oil refinery and stable fuel demand.
In 2024, Russian oil refineries were a series of drones, which led to unpaid equipment repair in the context of technological sanctions to the event with which the market participants successfully coped.
The total simple primary processing for RFP in January-December 2024 reached 41.1 million tons or 12.6% of the available capacities. The annual volume of the primary departure capacity by 5.2 million tons (+14.4%) exceeded last year (35.9 million tons). Simple primary power increased in December by 35% to the previous plan.
