The President discussed this and some other changes with the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, who noted that “the work is set at all levels.”
President Vladimir Zelensky appointed the commander of the ground forces of the armed forces of Ukraine, Major General Mikhail Dapaty, the head of the Khortitsa troop-strategic group.
“Today he ordered to strengthen the command staff of our troops in Donetskin-Major General Mikhail Dapaty was sent to the command of the operational-strategic grouping of the troops of Khortitsa. This is the most brutal direction of the battles. In at the same time, Dapathy will maintain the powers of the commander of the ground forces-the most numerical part of our armed forces and it will help to combine the combat work of the army with the proper preparation of the brigades.
The President also said that Major General Andrei Gnatov has been appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
“His work is a new level of training of the operational headquarters and the highest quality of communication between the headquarters and the front,” said the president.
He added that he discussed these and “some other changes” with the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, noting that “the work is set at all levels.”
Recall that the predecessor Vladimir Zelensky appointed a military ombudsman. The post was received by Olga Reshetilova. And now the main task is to prepare a bill on the military ombudsman and all the necessary systematic foundations of this institution.
