US efforts to achieve a peaceful settlement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation “have been implemented,” the American leader assured.
US President Donald Trump has expressed a desire to meet with Vladimir Putin to quickly “end” Russia’s war against Ukraine. He said this in an online conversation after a special speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, January 23.
“I really want to meet with President Putin as soon as possible to end this war and not from the point of view of the economy or anything, but from the point of view of the fact that millions of lives are living wasted,” assured the new head of US.
Trump also said that the American side’s efforts to achieve a peaceful settlement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation “are ongoing.”
“Our efforts to ensure a peaceful settlement between Russia and Ukraine, fortunately, have been implemented. It is very important to do so,” he emphasized.
According to him, “millions of soldiers are dying,” and “this has not happened since World War II.”
“It’s time to end this,” Trump said.
Earlier, the media reported that the Trump team was preparing oil sanctions against Russia. At the same time, the US President of the day spoke to Vladimir Putin with an ultimatum to end the war in Ukraine.
