Due to the warm winter in the mountains of Bukovina, bears have abandoned hibernation and are roaming hunting grounds in search of food.
But these predators not only look for food, but also find time for entertainment. One of them was recorded during games in the feeding area of the Putilsky forest area. The corresponding video today, January 22, was published by the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” on its Facebook page.
The video shows that, despite the darkness and snowy weather, the brown bear visited the location where rangers lay out food for deer and roe deer. There he found a bale of hay that began to roll from place to place, and even tried to climb out onto it.
In the forest, bears have enough natural food, so they will not approach populated areas. They roam along their usual routes and do not pose a threat to people. Moreover, at the slightest suspicion of danger they immediately run away,” said Ruslan Ryzhy, leading game warden of the Podolsk Forest Office branch.
It is noted that last year, when counting animals in the hunting grounds of Bukovina, employees of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” counted 35 brown bears.
