The European Parliament is discussing the possibility of providing a tranche of 500 million euros.

The EU is discussing the possibility of providing Ukraine a fifth of military assistance in the amount of 500 million euros. Stefano Sannino, Secretary General of the European External Action Service, announced this at a meeting of the defense and foreign policy committees of the European Parliament, European Truth reports on Tuesday, July 12th.

“Since the beginning of the aggression, we have provided two billion euros of military assistance to Ukraine through the European Peace Fund, in particular, the first possibility of providing deadly weapons. And we are now discussing the possibility of a fifth tranche of 500 million euros, ”Sannino said.

He stressed that the European Union “remains strong and united in the face of Russian aggression,” and is also ready to engage in military assistance to Ukraine within the Ramstein format.

It was previously reported that the fourth meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format will be held online on July 20.
