According to the minister, 52 victims have been identified and the bodies of 45 victims have been delivered to their families. Others have not yet been identified.
Nine people, including the owner of the hotel, are in jail in connection with the fire.
The fire broke out on the night of January 21 in a 12-story wooden hotel in Bolu province. Governor Abdulaziz Aydin said that, according to preliminary data, the fire broke out in the restaurant area on the fourth floor and spread throughout the building, where 234 guests were staying at the hotel. On the day of the emergency, the hotel was 80-90% full due to school holidays.
