Service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs resumed car registration after a month-long break. Now they warn about queues.
From January 21, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs resumed the provision of registration services related to changing the owner of a vehicle.
Service at the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is carried out by appointment in the E-record system.
At the same time, the ministry admitted that there may currently be problems with authorization in the system due to high demand and overload, in which case they advise you to try again later.
As a result of an attack on state registries at the end of 2024, services related to changes in ownership were unavailable:
-
under a purchase and sale agreement concluded at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with business entities, with a notary, at the central administrative office and through “Action”;
-
under a contract of gift, exchange, inheritance;
-
under a leasing agreement, stock exchange transaction;
-
culling.
Today, the Cabinet of Ministers also made changes to regulations that simplify a number of procedures, in particular:
- choosing a postal operator Driver’s licenses, registration certificates and license plates can be obtained through any convenient postal service. Previously, such a procedure was carried out exclusively through Ukrposhta. The new rules will come into force six months after the publication of the Resolution.
- deregistration of a car. Car owners who temporarily do not use transport in Ukraine will be able to deregister. This will allow concluding insurance contracts for shorter periods – from 15 days to five months. Such a mechanism will facilitate the procedure for people who use vehicles seasonally or temporarily do not use them.
