Guam is an ideal staging area for the display of military power, located only 2,575 km from Taiwan and the South China Sea and 2,897 km from South Korea.

The United States has deployed four B-1B Lancer strategic bombers to Andersen Air Force Base on the island of Guam in the Western Pacific. It was reported by the American Air Force.

The bombers arrived from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. As noted by the American media, the deployment took place against the backdrop of China’s military presence near Taiwan, which Beijing considers its territory, as well as in the disputed maritime areas of the South China Sea.

The mission of the bomber task force meets the objectives of the national defense strategy, the US Air Forces Pacific Command said.

Let’s remember that four American B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons have arrived in the UK.

Earlier, the Pentagon announced that the United States is moving additional forces to the Middle East. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered destroyers, fighter jets and bombers to be sent to the region.
