Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced the readiness of the aggressor country to talk with the new administration of US President-elect Donald Trump about the war in Ukraine.
The war criminal congratulated Trump on taking office as President of the United States. And Moscow sees statements by the new American leader about his desire to resume direct contacts with Russia. Putin announced this on January 20 during a meeting with members of the Russian Security Council.
We have never refused dialogue with any US administration. We are also open to dialogue with the new US administration regarding the Ukrainian conflict. The goal of the Ukrainian settlement should not be a short truce, but long-term peace, he noted.
According to the dictator, “peace in Ukraine must be based on respect for the legitimate interests of people living in this region.” The dialogue between Moscow and Washington “must be built on an equal and mutually respectful basis.”
At the same time, the president of the aggressor country emphasized that his dictatorship will continue to fight for the interests of its people, since “this is the meaning of the North Caucasian Military District.”
Let us recall that Donald Trump, on the eve of his inauguration, once again promised to end the war in Ukraine and prevent a third world war. The US president-elect wants to call the Russian president in the first days after the inauguration to discuss a personal meeting in the coming months.
