The Russian army attacked the Centrenergo power plant on January 20.

Previously, this thermal power plant had already been destroyed as a result of enemy shelling. Rogue damage from previous attacks already exceeds 250 million euros, and this amount will only grow as damage assessments are still ongoing. Experts began clearing out the rubble. Centerenergo reported this on Facebook.

Even though the station had been completely destroyed earlier, the enemy attacked it again that night.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the company’s thermal power plants have come under more than 50 attacks. And in the spring of 2024, Centerenergo became the only company forced to completely stop generation due to massive attacks.

Let us remind you that in November last year, the Kurakhovskaya Thermal Power Plant in the Donetsk region was completely destroyed by Russian occupiers. The invaders hit the thermal power plant with a controlled aerial bomb, as a result of which the building and pipes of the thermal power plant were destroyed.
