Nationwide, sales were down 22%. Analysts believe that this year the number of apartments sold in buildings under construction will decrease by at least another 20%.
Last year, about 287.2 thousand DGU apartments were sold in new buildings in 16 megacities of Russia with a population of more than 1 million people, as well as in Saratov and Tyumen. A year before, the number of transactions was 25% higher. The worst situation is in Samara, where 4,815 apartments were sold (46% decrease compared to last year), Krasnoyarsk – 7,155 (43%) and Saratov – 1,114 (42%).
In Omsk and Nizhny Novgorod, the number of transactions decreased by 39% (1801 and 5031 apartments, respectively), in Volgograd – by 38% (5135), in Perm – by 36% (6815), by 36 % (6815), Krasnodar – by 34 % (25,185), Novosibirsk – by 33% (13,101), in Rostov-on-Don – by 31% (14,628).
