President Vladimir Zelensky announced several important appointments on January 19. The Ukrainian head of state announced this on Telegram on Sunday, January 19.
In particular, as a result of an Army+ application survey, the new head of the Sagaidachny National Academy of Ground Forces was identified. He became Colonel Roman Kachur, who had extensive experience in commanding the front, in particular, the 55th separate artillery brigade.
“I spoke with Colonel Kachur – he has a vision of what to change in military education and in particular in the National Academy of Ground Forces,” said the Ukrainian head of state.
Also appointed was Brigadier General Gennady Shapovalov, who will work with international partners in Wiesbaden to coordinate security assistance to Ukraine.
Zelensky noted the importance of military training based on war experience and the heroism of Ukrainian soldiers, stressing that Ukraine needs strong leaders at the tactical level.
Let’s recall that Zelensky previously heard reports from the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation at the front, and also discussed some military personnel issues.
