Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky commented on the transfer of Air Force technicians to the infantry.
His order is now in effect prohibiting the transfer of highly trained personnel specializing specifically in aircraft maintenance. However, some military personnel should still be transferred to the infantry. Syrsky spoke about this in an interview with Andrey Tsaplienko.
Definitely, these are specialists, wasted money, have experience and who, in fact, have no one to replace, on the one hand. On the other hand, we basically need at the front, we must raise an adequate number of personnel in our mechanized brigades. Mobilization opportunities, unfortunately, do not cover this need, he noted.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the command “within reasonable limits” is reducing the logistics component and part of the support in the army, as well as those involved in maintenance.
Let us remind you that this week a scandal arose in the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Aviation technicians announced a massive transfer of personnel to the infantry. The military sounded the alarm because there would be no one to service the aircraft.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine subsequently stated that it was not planned and is not planned to transfer to infantry units the acutely shortage of specialists from the aviation engineering service of the Air Force, servicing aircraft.
