Chinese Vice President Han Zheng will participate in the inauguration of the newly elected US President on behalf of China, as Beijing is ready to strengthen cooperation with Washington.

US President-elect Donald Trump has told his advisers that he wants to visit China after taking office. This may happen in the coming months. It was reported on Saturday, January 18 by The Wall Street Journal and Reuters.

Trump has expressed interest in traveling to China during his first 100 days in office, according to a WSJ source.

The publication also added that Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, through their representatives, discussed a possible personal meeting. In this case, one of the options is to invite the Chinese leader to the United States.

Earlier, US President-elect Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump assured that, together with Xi, he intends to do “everything possible to make the world a more peaceful and safe place.”

At the same time, US Secretary of State candidate Marco Rubio recently said that China is a threat to the United States. In his opinion, these threats from Beijing are the “strongest and most dangerous” in American history.
