Starmer and Zelensky will discuss what security guarantees the UK can offer Kyiv.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Ukraine to meet with President Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported by the British publication The Guardian.
The two countries plan to enter into a cooperation agreement to deepen their existing defense ties and will consider additional military aid to Kyiv amid concerns that the US may begin to reduce its support.
The media recalled that Zelensky called on Western allies to continue to provide long-term military support to Ukraine, warning that refusal “will lead to greater aggression, chaos and war.”
Starmer and Zelensky will discuss what security guarantees the UK can offer Kyiv, including the possibility of British troops joining the peacekeeping force after the war.
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky said that Britain “looks positively” at the idea of stationing foreign troops in Ukraine.
