The President of Ukraine, in a conversation with the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, ordered not to reduce the number of specialists needed to carry out combat missions. Vladimir Zelensky announced this in a video message on January 14.
“The day began with military issues. A report on the front, our needs for weapons and related supplies. A separate conversation with the commander of the Air Force. Today there were many different information, anger and discussions – in translations. I was ordered to clarify everything in society and not reduce the number of specialists, which the Air Force needs to carry out combat missions – our aviation groups, air defense and mobile fire,” Zelensky said.
As is known, according to media reports, Air Force specialists of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have recently been transferred to the Ground Forces to fill combat brigades.
Earlier, the Ukrainian military denied reports in the British newspaper The Guardian about an alleged order by the command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to send military personnel of air defense units that were not ready for it in front as shooters.
