Danka Intelligence claims that in 2019, Russian intelligence agencies forged a letter that prompted Trump to announce a possible purchase of Greenland.
2019 Donald Trump first announced that the United States could buy Greenland from Denmark.
According to Danish intelligence (PET), his statement could be the result of a Russian provocation.
Russian agents fabricated a letter on behalf of then Greenlandic Foreign Minister Anya Lone Bagger to US Senator Tom Cotton.
In this letter, the minister expressed gratitude for the “financial assistance” and promised to hold a referendum on Greenland’s independence from Denmark as quickly as possible.
In fact, Ani Bagger did not write this letter, but Trump fan Cotton, having received it, urged her to buy Greenland.
That is, Russian intelligence services forged a letter to an American senator in order to split NATO countries and increase the influence of Russia and China in the Arctic.
