Scheduled to premiere next month, ‘Newtopia’, a new K-drama featuring BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, released new images of the protagonist couple; look!
With just under a month to go until the premiere of “Newtopia”, a new K-drama starring Jisoofrom BLACKPINK, alongside actor Park Jeong Min, Coupang Play released new images last Sunday, 12th, where we can see a little more of the beginning of the main couple’s relationship.
As reported by Soompi, the images show the moment when Lee Jae-Yoon (Park Jeongmin) and Kang Young-Joo (Kim Jisoo) began to develop their feelings when they worked together in an ice cream shop, time before the growth of the virus that would leave Seoul infested by zombies.
In addition to the beginning of the relationship, it is also possible to see some moments of the couple after they began their relationship and the chemistry they will present on stage. Check it out!
It is worth remembering that, in addition to BLINKs (BLACKPINK fans), specialized critics also have high expectations for the release of “Newtopia”, as the script is written by Ji Hojin (A Shop for Killers) next to Han Jinwonscreenwriter responsible for the Oscar-winning film, “Parasite” (2019).
Inspired by the South Korean novel “Influenza”, written by the author Han Sangwoonthe cast will also feature names like Kim Joon Han, Im Sung Jae, Kim Chang Hyung and Lee Hak Joo.
“Newtopia” is scheduled to premiere on February 7th, with new episodes every week until March 21st, according to information from Variety magazine. In South Korea, the production will be available through Coupang Play, while in Brazil and 240 other regions the k-drama can be found on the Prime Video streaming platform. Watch the trailer!
