Moscow has accused Kyiv of allegedly trying to cut off natural gas supplies to European countries.
The Russian military repelled an attack by nine drones on the Russkaya compressor station in Gai-Kodzor (Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation), which supplies gas through the Turkish Stream pipeline. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this on Monday, January 13.
The attack is said to have taken place on January 11th. Moscow has accused Kyiv of allegedly trying to cut off gas supplies to European countries.
No compressor station maintenance personnel were injured and there were no injuries. As a result of falling fragments of a UAV, the building and equipment of the gas measuring station on the territory of the Russkaya compressor station received minor damage. The on-duty emergency response crew of PJSC Gazprom immediately removed the consequences of falling fragments and returned the equipment,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
It was noted that gas supply through Turkish Stream continues as normal.
Earlier, the Russians complained about a massive drone attack on the night of January 11. They allegedly shot down 85 UAVs, of which 16 were in the territory of the Krasnodar Territory.
