The head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, Dovile Sakaliene, emphasized that these drones will arrive in Ukraine by the end of the week.
Vilnius will transfer 4,500 drones to Kyiv this week. The total cost of the drones is 5 million euros. This was announced by the head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense Dovile Sakaliene on the X social network.
“I am proud to announce that this week Lithuania will send 4.5 thousand drones worth 5 million euros to Ukraine,” the official wrote.
According to him, at the last meeting of the Lithuanian government, a new accelerated procedure for the transfer of state assets was approved, which will reduce the time for bureaucratic procedures in the process of transferring aid to Ukraine.
“Lithuania is on the side of Ukraine!” – he summed up.
As already written, there are still thousands of drones in warehouses in Lithuania, which the country promised to transfer to Kyiv by the end of 2024.
We would like to add that in August, five Lithuanian drone manufacturers successfully conducted tests in Ukraine. Almost five thousand drones worth five million euros were purchased for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
