Serbia, following Switzerland, offered its country to host a meeting between Putin and Trump.
According to President Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia is interested in being a meeting place between Putin and Trump – this can guarantee complete security for both presidents, writes European Pravda.
In addition, he noted that the country is not in military blocs, like “some countries,” and therefore is fully ready to provide complete security to both leaders.
Note that Serbia is a party to the International Criminal Court and has signed and ratified the Rome Statute, so it must detain Putin under an arrest warrant from the ISS.
Earlier, Switzerland stated that they were ready to organize a meeting between Trump and Putin.
The speaker of the Swiss Foreign Ministry recalled the Peace Summit, which Ukraine held in Switzerland, and explained that after it, Ukraine, Russia and the United States were regularly informed of their “readiness to support any diplomatic efforts to establish peace.”
Bidault also assured that the arrest warrant for the head of the Kremlin, which issued the International Criminal Court, would not be an obstacle to his potential arrival in Switzerland if it concerns peace negotiations.
Trump’s adviser expects his boss to have a conversation with Putin in the coming days or weeks.
