Serbia is outside the two blocs, both NATO and CSTO, and is essentially a neutral country that is fully prepared to provide complete security to both presidents, Vucic said.
Serbia is interested in holding a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, the country’s President Aleksandar Vucic said. He said this in a comment to Euronews on Sunday, January 12.
“Many are offering their territory for a meeting between Putin and Trump that I would like to officially announce that Serbia is interested in being the place for this meeting,” said Vucic.
He justified his decision by the fact that Serbia is a truly neutral country that does not belong to any military bloc. Unlike other countries that also offer their territory, Serbia remains independent and outside blocs such as NATO and CSTO.
Recall that Vucic called those who consider Putin’s nuclear threats bluffs “insane” and emphasized that he can take decisive measures.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced negotiations with Vucic, where the parties discussed issues of cooperation between states.
