Schemes of illegal border crossing by men of military age continue to be eliminated in Ukraine.
During the day, the police eliminated about 50 such schemes. They were stopped after 600 searches. More than 60 suspicions have been announced against the organizers and participants of illegal schemes for transportation across the state border. The National Police of Ukraine reported this.
Law enforcement officers discovered a number of illegal transactions. Among them are transportation outside checkpoints, falsification of health documents, fictitious entries into the “Put” information system and others.
The defendants in the case are heads of hospitals at various levels, officials of Territorial Acquisition Centers, MSEC and VLK. Civilians were also involved, looking for potential clients through acquaintances and closed telegram channels.
Those citizens who wanted to avoid mobilization had to pay considerable sums to the businessmen. The cost of services ranged from 5 to 22 thousand dollars. The defendants legalized the proceeds through the purchase of cars and real estate, and in some cases, they took them offshore.
The actions of the defendants were qualified under Part 3 of Art. 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to nine years in prison with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.
Let us remind you that on January 10, the National Police informed that more than 600 simultaneous searches were being carried out as part of the first stage of a special operation to block the channels for the export of men of military age abroad.
